You're Entitled
To New Shoes!

Under Medicare Part B, diabetic patients are entitled to :
one pair of shoes
three pairs of inserts
per calendar year.

Medicare will cover 80% of the cost after the annual Medicare deductible has been met. The remaining 20% will be billed to the secondary insurance provider.

If you do not have secondary coverage, arrangements will be made.

Who Qualifies?

If you, or someone you know, has been diagnosed with diabetes mellitus and is experiencing any of the following conditions, then Medicare will cover 80% for therapeutic shoes:

History of partial or complete amputation of the foot
History of previous foot ulceration
History of pre-ulceration callus
Foot deformity
Poor circulation
Numbness/neuropathy

Diabetic Inserts
Tri-laminated materials with 1/3 inch thickness providing weight redistribution and foot accommodation. This supports the foot and arch, as well as protecting the sole.

Custom Inserts

Prescription biomechanical foot orthotics create a more normal function of the feet and legs by maintaining the body's angular relationships between the bones of the feet and the leg. The orthotics are designed with "control posts" that subtly move into specific positions at specific phases in your walking or gait cycle.
